The Lunar New Year has been a very important Asian holiday for thousands of years and is celebrated around the world in various countries with significant Chinese populations. The Lunar New Year Festival in Kearny Mesa strives to promote the Asian Cultural Heritage, as well as to help our non-profit partners to re-invent San Diego by celebrating the economic growth in Kearny Mesa as well as the surrounding areas. We are also attracting various demographics that enjoy experiencing special events and culture. The Lunar New Year Festival strives to promote the Asian cultural heritage as well as to help our non-profit partners re-vitalize the soon to be Little Saigon District of San Diego.

The Lunar New Year Festival will include over 100 vendor booths, non-stop live entertainment and concerts, traditional Lion Dance performances, and The Miss Vietnamese Traditional Dress Pageant. There will be 16 carnival rides making the Lunar New Year Festival the second largest fair in San Diego, next only to the Del Mar Fair. The first ever "San Diego's Most Talented" Competition will recruit talent from LA, Orange County, and San Diego.

Part of the Festival proceed will go to benefit the Little Saigon San Diego Foundation, a 501(c)3, tax-exempt, non-profit organization community development organization. Click Here for more information.
